My analysis of Ethics paper:

Disclaimer: Being my favourite subject and being an author, the way I look at questions may differ from what others may feel about them.

As per me, out of 13 Section-A questions, 6 were applied ethics based and 6 were bookish. 1 question i.e. 3b was repeated word to word from 2017 Mains.

Also, themes were repeated. For example, question on e-governance (4a), question on online medium (4b) and question 5b (iv). Similar question has been asked before on internet expansion in 2020.

CSR based question (6b) on environment ethics has been asked multiple times.

Overall, as per me, Section-A was different from past years' but not tough overall.

My advice to 2023 Aspirants: DONT SKIP PYQPs. MOST QUESTIONS OR THEMES ARE REPEATED.

2022-09-18 11:20:33 Very easy and straight forward GS-3 Paper apart from question 6 and, perhaps for some, question 7 2nd part i.e. gothenburg principle.

Other than that, simple questions directly from syllabus.

Much easier than not only today's gs-1 paper but also when compared to previous gs-2 papers.

Scoring in gs-2 would be tough as there was hardly any question which one cannot attempt. So, marks will depend on answer quality and innovation.

2022-09-17 10:03:14 My initial analysis of gs-1 paper is that it is perhaps the toughest since 2013 and questions are analytical with nothing straight forward.

Silver line is, when paper is this tough or analytical, checking is lenient and scores are inflated like it was for ethics in 2016.
