在中国超过12年的服侍中，我遇到许多基督徒（尤其是保守派基督徒）对中国经典采取了“反叛传统”（iconoclastic）的态度，说这些书是由异教徒写的，所以对基督徒来说没有什么价值。在这个讲座中，我想借鉴西方早期教会的经验提出一些关于如何从自己的异教教育传统中学习的原则。我的观点是中国经典必须在中国基督教教育中占有重要地位。欢迎有兴趣的朋友参加！
As part of a lecture series on Christian education I will be presenting a public lecture via Zoom tomorrow titled “What Has Qufu to do with Jerusalem?” in which I argue that traditional (i.e. pagan) Chinese classics should hold an important place in Chinese Christian education. Many conservative Chinese Christians have a very critical view of the Chinese classics. I hope to present the early Western church as a model for how to handle one’s own classical, pagan tradition. The lecture will be in Chinese, so it is not for English speakers, but feel free to invite Chinese friends that you think might be interested.
