Imagine you had a new toy that needed batteries to work. You won't play with the toy without charged batteries because it'll need the right amount of power to work well. That means you'll need to charge the batteries for it to work.

Speaking in tongues charges your spirit just like a battery. When you speak in tongues often, it makes you bolder (1 Corinthians 14:4) and empowered to do more for the Lord.

Therefore, speak in tongues every day and keep your spirit charged up.
