[NOTICE] Our company has recently initiated legal proceedings against perpetrators of malicious postings that include acts of defamation, insult, sexual harassment, misinformation and malign against ENHYPEN. ENHYPEN is a new group not yet a year into their activities, and includes a number of artists who are still minors. Nevertheless, repeated instances of malicious postings that target the members have led to the decision by our company to initiate formal legal proceedings. 

We have filed criminal complaints for defamation (Article 70 of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.) and insult (Article 311 of the Criminal Act) against perpetrators who engaged in repeated posting or spreading malicious replies and writings exceeding the boundaries of socially-acceptable expression of opinions on online communities, blogs and social media. Evidence was collected through our company’s internal monitoring system as well as the BELIFT Lab hotline, which was used to initiate formal legal investigations. Please understand that we are unable to reveal details to ensure that perpetrators are identified and confidentiality is maintained for investigations that are currently underway. 

Our company continues to mount a strong response to any acts of defamation and insult against our artists. These criminal complaints represent merely the beginning of our regular legal responses against acts targeting ENHYPEN, and no settlements or leniency will be extended under any circumstances. We regularly collect information on malicious postings regarding ENHYPEN, report them to the authorities and file criminal complaints.
