Since the new year, French tobacco stores will be able to sell small amounts of cryptocurrency.
Financial regulators in France have already given official permission. The authorities are convinced that this is the best solution, because the French show great interest in cryptocurrencies. Therefore, regulators decided to take control of the digital asset trade and, as a practical measure, to empower the French Federation of tobacco stores. According to the publication Europe 1, the agreement was reached last week between the French Federation of tobacco shops and the Bank of France.
