Me: Good Morning officer
Vo: Good Morning. Please pass your passport, I 20 and Sevis fee receipt
Me: Passed them
Vo: Why Texas Tech University?
Me : I have gone through the work of computer science professors at Texas Tech University (VO stopped me here)
VO : Where is the speaker for you. Right or left. Can you speak into that and be little loud?
Me: It is to my left. (Went close to the speaker) Sorry officer. I have gone through the work of computer science professors at Texas Tech and I got interest in professor xxxxxx work. I have contacted him and asked him to make me part of his team. After going through my profile, professor has accepted me to join his team as a volunteer. So, I am going to get practical experience along with the course in Texas Tech University.
Texas Tech University also encouraged me by providing good scholarship and waiving my fee by 50% which helps me financially. ( VO checked it in i20 when I said this point).
Also, Texas Tech University is tier 1 public research university. It's computer science course is very flexible which allows me to take elective courses for 24 credit hours as per my interest. ( I was prepared for this questions and did not fumble even little bit while I was answering this)

Vo: Have you applied for any other universities?
Me : Yes officer, I have applied for 6 universities in total.
Vo : What are those universities?
Me: Apart from Texas Tech, I have applied for Georgia State University, University of Houston Main Campus, University of Maryland Baltimore County, University at Buffalo, University of South Florida.
Vo: So you have work experience. How many years?
Me: Officer, I have 3 years of work experience at Deloitte.
Vo: What do you do in your job?
Me : Officer, my current designation is Software Engineer 1. I work on databases. I develop stored procedures, functions and reports for a risk assessment tool owned by Deloitte.
Vo: Who is Funding for your Masters?
Me: Officer, my father is my main sponser along with my sister with our family savings of 15 lakhs.
Also, I have also secured education loan of 35 lakhs from HDFC credila.
Apart from these , we have around 2 crores of immovable assets. I also have scholarship from university and 50 % tution fee waiver. These are more than enough for my funding.
Vo: Sounds good. Please place Right Hand Fingers. Your visa is approved
Me: Thank you Officer

All these questions were common questions and I was prepared well for these questions. So, I answered with confidence without fumbling.
I did not think much to answer as there was no question that is rearely asked.
