Coming Into Covenant
June is known for being the month of weddings. Marriage is a covenant between a man and woman who promise to be partners for life. They promise to love and honor each other as they go through the years of ups and downs together.

There are benefits of having a marriage partner, such as having someone that loves you unconditionally and supports your dreams as well as is loyal to you. Your spouse is your best friend and confidant whom you get to "do life" with!

Covenant means "a coming together" where two or more parties make an agreement or contract by agreeing to certain promises, responsibilities, stipulations, and benefits.

When you come into partnership with a ministry, you are actually coming into a covenant. You pledge a monthly dollar amount to help support the work of the Lord through that ministry and support them with prayer. In return, the ministry also prays for its partners and provides biblical teaching and guidance.

When you come into covenant with a prophetic ministry, you have the added blessing of the prophet's reward! Life in the Faith Lane TV is a prophetic ministry, so in addition to the blessings of a ministry partnership, you also receive the prophet's reward.

According to Matthew 10:41, "He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward." (KJV)

Remember when the prophet, Elijah, went to the house of the widow in Zaraphath and asked for water and bread? She told him that she had just enough flour and oil to make one last little meal for her and her son, and then they were going to die.

Here's the rest of that conversation, according to 1 Kings 17:13-16: 13 "But Elijah said to her, 'Don’t be afraid! Go ahead and do just what you’ve said, but make a little bread for me first. Then use what’s left to prepare a meal for yourself and your son. 14 For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There will always be flour and olive oil left in your containers until the time when the Lord sends rain and the crops grow again!' 15 So she did as Elijah said, and she and Elijah and her family continued to eat for many days. 16 There was always enough flour and olive oil left in the containers, just as the Lord had promised through Elijah." (NLT)

That is an example of the prophet's reward. When you are in covenant with a prophetic ministry, you will receive the prophet's reward! The Lord is true to HIS WORD — that woman's provision never ran out!
