Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala set Werner up via a terrific assist and the former RB Leipzig man was very appreciative.“He’s gone through the roof in the last six months, he’s a great player & has a huge future. We’re happy to have players at his age with us. Jamal just goes out on the pitch, plays his game and has fun. Maybe we, other players, have to come back down this path,” Werner said of Musiala.As for how things are going under Hansi Flick, Werner is happy to be working with the former Bayern Munich skipper. Flick, of course, wanted to bring Werner — and Kai Havertz — to Bavaria before the duo ultimately signed with
Chelsea FC back in 2020.“We didn’t talk about the past, we are happy to be able to work together now. We always got on well. In the first game I was able to show with my goal that it wasn’t a very bad idea to let me play,” Werner said. “Sometimes you win a game like that one against Liechtenstein 8-0 because the first few chances go in. On other occasions, however, you only win 2-0. The time will come again where we score two goals from a half chance.”
