Microsoft wants to buy Pinterest, a popular social media company.
Microsoft approached pinterest for a potential deal to acquire the $51 Billion company in recent months. The negotiations are not currently active, according to financial times.
Pinterest's market value has increased more than 600 per cent during the cornavirus pandemic and shares have risen over seven times from its pandemic-low in March last year.
Pinterest had previously signaled it wants to remain an independent company, according to Financial Times
