The Lorsch Annals, 12th century. These images are from a manuscript that tells the tale of the siege of the castle of Siguibourg in France, when the Saxons surrounded France and were about to seize the castle, as flying fire objects appeared above the temple. The Saxons thought these objects were protecting France. This event occurred in 779 and was officially documented.
And what is "curious" in all the engravings where strange objects are depicted, they all appear as a "column of light" or smoke, because, according to our point of view, in all the images the same object is shown at different times in human history.
