BREAKING: Dr. Luc Montagnier, One of the Discoverers of HIV, Has Died
@G3News: The French press confirmed on Wednesday (Feb. 9) the news of Professor Luc Montagnier's death on Tuesday (Feb. 8) at the age of 89 at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
The news was confirmed by Dr. Gérard Guillaume, one of his closest collaborators, who reported that he left this world behind peacefully in the company of his children.
Montagnier was a renowned biologist and virologist who received the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 2008 for having been one of the discoverers of HIV.
He generated controversy at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic by telling the world that the virus was created in a laboratory.
In recent weeks, he had been the focus of criticism and praise for stating that
"the unvaccinated will save humanity."
