Locomotion is the movement of an animal as a whole from one place to another (L. locus = place,moveo=to move).
Movement is defined as any visible change of position, exhibited either by whole organism or by any part of the body. Cells of the human body exhibit three main types of movements.
Types of movement:-
Amoeboid movement: - It is exhibited by specialised cells such as macrophages and leucocytes.
Ciliary movement:- It occurs in most of our internal tubular organs which are lined by ciliated epithelium.
Muscular movement:- Movement of our limbs, jaws,tongue, etc .
