Uzbek president Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin about Ukraine.
The telephone conversation took place on the initiative of Tashkent, the press service of the Russian president reported.
Putin informed Mirziyoyev about the course of a 'special military operation to protect the DPR and LPR'.
"The President of Uzbekistan spoke with understanding about the position and actions of the Russian side," the Kremlin noted.
In addition, both the heads of state exchanged congratulations on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Russia, and also discussed bilateral cooperation.
