An operative of IRGC Quds Force was assassinated in Tehran today.Two assailants on a motorcycle shot and killed Colonel Sayad Khodayai in front of his home on Mojahedin Eslam Street at around 16:00 (11:30 GMT) while he was leaving in his car, in the Iranian capital.
No details about Khodai's role within the Quds Force were provided, although he was called a "defender of the shrine" - a term used to describe Iran military personnel and Iran-backed militia fighters operating in Syria or Iraq.
An Iranian security source told the Iranian news outlet Jadeh Iran that Colonel Khodayari was prominent in the country’s military industry,
especially concerning drones.
