A severe sandstorm has hit Iraq and parts of Syria. 2 people have died and more than 5,000 sought medical help, leaving 10,000 for evacuation and other helps.

A state of emergency has been introduced in the country, schools, universities, government agencies and airports have been closed.

The cause of the cataclysm is said to be frequent drought.

This is 9th major sandstorm in Iraq in two months.
