*EXAMINE YOURSELF*

*2 Corinthians 13:5-8as*

_5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? — unless indeed you are disqualified. 6 But I trust that you will know that we are not disqualified. 7 Now I pray to God that you do no evil, not that we should appear approved, but that you should do what is honorable, though we may seem disqualified. 8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth._

All through our learning experience we wrote examinations and took tests of assessment to give a picture of what we looked like at any point in time. Personal evaluations of this kind have become established in our learning process. Though we do not like it, we still subject ourselves to these, for the simple reason that we want to know what we are capable of and prepare ourselves for all kinds of situations.

Much of the examinations we do, only measure our talents and abilities and the extent to which we have developed them. We do this for the purpose of career opportunities and other great opportunities this life offers for prosperity. Unfortunately, we do not put our personal lives under such scrutiny to evaluate how we are performing spiritually and morally. The critical dimensions of our lives that need closer examination are often left out, and we still don’t get it why we are making little progress in living the abundant life.

Paul challenges the believer to examine himself and see if he is in the faith. That underscores the potential of being in the faith. There are so many good things that come out of being in the faith we should not miss any one of them. If we must strive to be approved, let it be that we are seeking such approval from God, and not from man.

*Prayer*
1. Thank God for His faithfulness in rewarding your commitment to Him always.
2. Pray that you will continue to abound in Christ and stay in the Vine that gives you life.
3. Father, please plant my feet on Solid ground, where nothing can uproot me.

*Declarations*
I declare that in Christ Jesus I am established. My life stands on the Foundation that cannot be shaken. In Him I live and move and have my being. In Him I have victory over the flesh and the devil. In Christ I am complete in every dimension of my life and in Him I get ready for the bliss in eternity in the name of Jesus.
