We are aware of a fake SMS informing users that their #Singpass account has been disabled and needs to be reactivated. The SMS contains a link to a fake Singpass website phishing for the user's credit card details. The website has since been taken down.

We’d like to remind all Singpass users to be vigilant when transacting online:
1) Always check the website domain when accessing a service.
The official Singpass website is singpass.gov.sg

2) Beware of unsolicited SMSes or emails with hyperlinks leading to phishing websites.
Singpass does not send SMSes with hyperlinks, and will never ask for your banking or credit card details.

If you suspect that you have fallen prey to this phishing scam, please call the Anti-Scam Hotline at 1800-722-6688 or make an online report at www.police.gov.sg/iwitness

You can also reach the Singpass helpdesk at 6335 3533 for assistance.
