After posts on social media exposed vandalism in Hagia Sofia's imperial gate (previous post here), more images have surfaced showing the lack of care by Turkish authorities
The images prompted reactions from the Greek government although those will not lead to any sort of action from Turkey's part
Turkish authorities have stated that the damage was caused by "normal wear" and others question Turkey's ability to restore the gate citing examples of poor workmanship with modern materials such as plastic and aluminum
