The short-term rental market in Greece is recovering
Demand in Greece’s short-term rental market
recovered to 70% of its 2019 level, outrunning even Greece’s hotel sector.
The reason behind the rapid recovery of the Greek market is that the losses due to the outflow of foreign visitors were compensated by the Greek visitors. In 2019, only 13% of short-term rental requests came from Greece itself, while this year the share of the Greek tourists tripled.
