The "journey" may be a literal trip, or it may represent an ambition. A plan accurately thought out down to the most minute detail will never be completed unless it is enacted. The "first step" represents enacting the plan. If one has a ticket to fly from New York to Munich, one must first leave one's house - the "first step." If one desires to have a great business, and one even has the perfect business model, it will not come to fruition until the hypothetical business actually opens - the "first step." The most beautiful song imagined will never be heard until it is played - the "first step." Leave your house. Open your business. Play your magnum opus. Take your first step.
