In April 2011, my colleagues, the Komsomolskaya Pravda reporters Dmitry Steshin and Alexander Kotz, together with the crew of the Russian TV channel NTV, had been captured by the Libyan Jihadi rebels. Only after the intervenue of MFA Lavrov, they were released.
In May 2019, the Russian sociologists Maxim Shugaley and Samer Sueyfan were illegally detained in Tripoli by the GNA-backed forces. Presumable reason are the results of their surveys exposing lack of support of the radical Islamist Tripoli government by the locals. Till now, they are imprisoned.
In front of the Libyan embassy, I stand against oppression of journalism by Jihadi regimes. I stand against abolishing the rights for obtaining, releasing of information, and opinion expression imposed by left forces worldwide — which sympathize with radical Islamic fundamentalism (just check 'Islamic Socialism' Wikipage).
