2021-05-02 09:32:21 IDF: An IDF combat soldier thwarted an attempted stabbing attack

Following the previous report, an assailant armed with a knife attempted to stab IDF combat soldiers at the Gush Etzion junction, South of Bethlehem. An IDF combat soldier fired towards the assailant and neutralized her. No IDF injuries were reported.

2021-05-01 21:04:54 IDF: At the beginning of the IDF Home Front Command assistance in the grave area at Mount Meron, a number of civilians were physically and verbally violent against IDF female soldiers who were evacuating injured civilians. The troops persisted and completed their mission regardless of the offensive behavior.

The subject was brought up by the troops last night (Friday), during an initial inquiry of the event prior to the troops' return to their base.

The IDF condemns any form of physical or verbal violence towards its female and male soldiers, and views such incidents with great severity.

Overnight, a report was received regarding a number of terrorists who hurled Molotov cocktails towards a building in the settlement of Oz Zion, East of Ramallah.

IDF, Israeli Police and firefighter troops were dispatched to the scene and extinguished the fire.
No injuries were reported. Light damage was caused to the building.
