Some people today believe that the world's increase in population is unsustainable and will eventually lead to a global crisis. Other people believe that world population is necessary and beneficial as it creates the growth of world's economy and society. Discuss both views and give your option.

People have different views on the importance of the rise of the world’s population. While there may indeed be some drawbacks to the increasing population, I believe it to be important.

On the one hand, population rise may be harmful to the environment in various ways. This mostly relates to the idea that more people need more resources. Firstly, as people are in need of food, the rise in population is likely to bring about more slaughters. The next problem is the land shortage because of the humanity’s demand for accommodation. This may cause the wildlife to be jostled away, leading to the extinction of animals. On top of that, unless human practices are sustainable, due to the necessity of even greater supply of natural resources, the future generations are likely to have minimal supply of basic-human-need resources, such as water, which all adds up to a global crisis.

On the other hand, I am optimistic about the effects of the increase in human numbers. If there are more people worldwide, the birth of more innovative people is likely. For example, whereas China is the most populated nation, it is also popular with its people getting the winning places in the world math Olympiads in a row. As a consequence, these clever are the ones to tackle these sustainability problems to overcome the eventual world crisis.

In conclusion, I can understand why people may disapprove of the overall human population growth, but it seems to me that the innovative individuals that it comes with can overlap the rise’s disadvantages.
