Question: “I dispatched the Zakāt al-fiṭr, specifically pertaining to myself, to my family in Miṣr (ie: Egypt) so that they can discharge it in my country. I reside in al-Saudīyyah (ie: Saudi Arabia). Is this action correct?”
س: أرسلت زكاة الفطر الخاصة بي إلى أهلي في مصر لكي يخرجوها في البلد، وأنا مقيم في السعودية، فهل هذا العمل صحيح؟

Answer: “(This is) not a problem, (and) you shall be rewarded inshāʾ Allah according to the statements of the scholars.
ج: لا بأس بذلك وتجزئ إن شاء الله في أصح قولي العلماء،

However, discharging it in your area is better, so that you discharge it to the needy in the area in which you reside, and this is better.
لكن إخراجها في محلك الذي تقيم فيه أفضل وأحوط،

However, if you dispatched it to your family to discharge it to the needy in your country then that is not a problem.”
وإذا بعثتها لأهلك ليخرجوها على الفقراء في بلدك فلا بأس.
