He answered: Giving a third of al-Uḍḥiyah in ṣadaqah (ie: charity) is not wājib (ie: obligatory).
فأجاب بقوله: الصدقة بالثلث من الأضحية ليست بالواجب،

You can (keep and) eat the whole Uḍḥiyah except a little and give that in charity.
لك أن تأكل كل الأضحية إلا شيئًا قليلاً تتصدق به والباقي لك أن تأكله،

However, what best is to give some in ṣadaqah, gift some and eat some yourself.
لكن الأفضل أن تتصدق وتهدي وتأكل
