The ʿaṣl (ie: foundation) of our maḏhab (ie: school of thought) of taking the Qurʾān and authentic aḥadīth upon its dhāhir (ie: apparent meaning) is the truth,
وأصل مذهبنا أن الأخذ بظاهر القرآن والحديث الصحيح حق

We are certain to be correct in this,
ونحن على يقين من أننا مصيبون في ذلك

In every assertion that we encounter, we take the literal reading of the Qurʾān and ṣaḥīḥ aḥadīth,
وفي كل قول أدانا إليه أخذنا بظاهر القرآن والحديث الصحيح

And whoever opposes is wrong.
وأن من خالفنا مخطىء
