Abū Ḏarr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Mes | IlmTest

Abū Ḏarr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger ﷺ said to me: “O Abū Ḏarr, do you think that a lot of wealth is richness?”
وعن أبي ذرّ رضي الله عنه قال: قال لي رسول الله - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ -: "يا أبا ذر! أترى كثرةَ المال هو الغنى؟ ".

I answered: “Yes O Messenger of Allah.”
قلت: نعم يا رسولَ الله!

So he asked: “Do you think that a lack of wealth is poverty?”
قال: "أَفَتَرى قلةَ المالِ هو الفقر؟ ".

I answered: “Yes O Messenger of Allah.”
قلت: نعم يا رسول الله!

So he said: “But true richness is the richness of the heart, and true poverty is the poverty of the heart.”
قال: "إنما الغنى غنى القلب، والفقرُ فقرُ القلب".

Reported by Ibn Ḥibbān in his Ṣaḥīḥ.
رواه ابن حبان في "صحيحه" في حديث يأتي إنْ شاء الله تعالى.
