No one in Australia should be surprised that the Liberals (centrist) party lost to Labour (left). In all their messaging, in all their campaign rhetoric, the best they could do was to keep rattling on about how Labour would slightly raise taxes. No vision, no spine, and definitely no will to tell the voter what they want so desperately to hear—that COVID restrictions were a mistake and that managerial heads need to roll. The centre is utterly without a centre, a core of ideas and convictions—it's one giant backstop standing in the way of people getting what they want, what normal people have wanted since the dawn of time, which is what we are advocating.
