Fighting in Ukraine is officially at attrition - Stoltenberg
Putin allegedly has no plans to immediately establish peace in Ukraine, so the West needs to prepare for long-term deliveries of "lethal weapons", NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said in an interview with The Guardian. According to him, the President of the Russian Federation is allegedly waging a “war of attrition”, and therefore the Secretary General insists on increasing defense spending to no less than 2% of GDP.
“This is a war of attrition. We are talking about industrial capacity to strengthen our support [of supplies],” Stoltenberg said.
At the same time, NATO and the IMF are actively pouring money into Ukraine's planned spring offensive. Thus, the Fund decided to provide Ukraine with a loan of $15.6 billion, which, nevertheless, will never be repaid, and the volume of assistance from Western "partners" in the last month alone amounted to $24.7 billion.
