CIA chief preps Biden to TALK TOUGH at Geneva summit: “Everywhere [Putin] goes he must meet resistance” (Time Magazine report)
Three senior Biden admin sources have revealed CIA Director, William Burns, has been leading the preparations of President Biden during daily intelligence meetings, on his upcoming summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Burns is a former US ambassador to Moscow, who worked there during the collapse of the Soviet Union. The sources say that Burns and others - advocate a RETURN to the Cold War CONTAINMENT of the Russian govt.
However, a senior Biden admin official believes the goal of the talks is to EASE TENSIONS and establish predictability – fearing that striking back over recent ransomware accusations would be risky as “we might lose an ESCALATION.”
