NATO refuses to constructively consider Russia's proposals to de-escalate tensions and reduce the risk of unpredictable incidents.
This was stated by Vladimir Putin in a video message to the participants and guests of the IX Moscow Conference on International Security.
“Of course, we cannot but be concerned about the ongoing build-up of NATO's military capabilities and infrastructure near the Russian borders, as well as the fact that the alliance refuses to constructively consider our proposals to de-escalate tensions and reduce the risk of unpredictable incidents.
We hope that common sense and the desire to develop constructive relations with us will eventually prevail, ”the President said.
