San Francisco #USA

San Francisco is one of the most colorful cities in the USA. Surprisingly, the future cultural, commercial and financial center of Northern California began as a small settlement of Yerba Buena.

Unfortunately, almost everything that was built before 1906 was destroyed by an earthquake. San Francisco now consists of parks, business districts, squares and skyscrapers. And, of course, its legendary symbol is the Golden Gate Bridge

Russia , Lake Kezenoy-Am

The pearl of Chechnya is the so-called amazing high-mountain lake Kezenoy-Am. Its appearance is striking: the reservoir is distinguished by the turquoise color of the water, changing its hue depending on weather conditions, time of year and day.

Chechen lake Kezenoy-Am is considered one of the most beautiful. In addition, it is the largest alpine lake in Europe: its length from north to south is about two kilometers, and from west to east – 2.7! The area of the amazing reservoir reaches two square kilometers. It is often called Deep – in some places the depth is 72 meters. It is because of its size that it is also known as the Andean Sea. By the way, some scuba divers claim that the depth of the lake is actually much greater. For example, a Finnish scuba diver in 1989 plunged 103 meters. There are pictures of professional divers taken at a depth of about 90 meters.

Perito Moreno #Argentina

Perito Moreno is the largest and most accessible glacier in Argentina, Patagonia and all of South America.

Many people dream of visiting the noisy and explosive Buenos Aires. And how about going beyond this crowded metropolis and instead of the sights of the stone jungle to go towards the most beautiful place in all of Argentina?

Italy , Fiordo di Furore

Furore is a small village located on the Amalfi coast, in the province of Salerno, in southwestern Italy. A long time ago, there were small settlements overlooking the sea, along a picturesque road.
The main attraction of Furore is the so-called fjord or Fiordo. This is actually a narrow gorge, remote from the sea, created by the flow of the Schiato waterfall running along the mountain to the sea. The fjord is the old part of Furore. The main village is currently located 300 meters above, in the upper Vallone del Furore.

The fjord is equipped with an arch bridge over which the state road passes. The 30—meter bridge is the place where the International Diving Championship is held every summer.

The local authorities have made the fjord an attractive tourist destination. The old lime kiln has been converted into a bar and gift shop, old houses have been renovated, and the museum tells about the industrial heritage of the fjord.

Lofoten Islands #Norway

An archipelago located in the Norwegian Sea. The islands are located in the north-west of Norway and cover an area of more than 1220 sq. km.

Lofoten consists of many islands, the coastline of which is indented by coves and comfortable beaches. The main feature of a holiday on Lofoten is privacy, tranquility and wild, untouched nature.

Killer whales and sperm whales hunt here from spring to early autumn. Huge animals swim next to the boats, and in the winter months they are perfectly visible from the shore.

Denmark , Colony Gardens

Colony Gardens is the name of these allotments of land, which are located in the suburbs of Copenhagen. They can be rented for about $ 130 per month (for an area approximately equal to our 6 acres).

These are public recreation areas, and there is a small house on each plot. It is interesting that the plots cannot be redeemed - only rented. And it is also impossible to live on them permanently due to legal restrictions.

However, despite all these circumstances, the popularity of Colony Gardens is growing every year. Firstly, people want to take a break from the stressful life in the city. And secondly, it costs much more to rent even a modest apartment in the city.

Greece
, Zakynthos Island

This is one of the resort islands of the Ionian Archipelago belonging to Greece. With its outlines, the island of Zakynthos resembles a cheerful penguin who decided to swim in the warm Ionian Sea to the west of the Peloponnese peninsula. This relief island of such an original shape is actually a densely forested peak of a mountain rising from the depths of the sea

The island of Zakynthos is quite large – 405 km2, and its coastline, broken by bays and capes, is measured at 123 km, and almost the entire coast is open to access to the sea.

The air of the island, which the Venetians called the "Flower of the Levant", is filled with intoxicating aromas of the sea breeze, coniferous forests, juniper thickets and spicy herbs, fruits of citrus trees and vines growing in abundance here. The island still preserves the aristocratic spirit of the Renaissance and Enlightenment, when famous musicians, poets, and painters lived and worked here.

London #England

London is the capital of England and the United Kingdom, as well as one of the greatest cities of our time.

London has been the center of political power and court life for centuries. It is all the more surprising how the pomp of the monarchy coexists with the daily life of millions of people.

It is curious that the famous London "Big Ben" is not a tower at all, contrary to popular opinion. "Big Ben" is the name of the bell tower installed there, and the tower itself is called "Elizabeth"

Switzerland , Chillon Castle

The Chillon Castle is the most famous attraction not only of the Swiss Riviera, but also of Switzerland as a whole. The fortress is located near the town of Montreux.

The Chillon Castle is built on a low rock near the shore of Lake Geneva. The fortress can be divided into two parts: the first, residential, is located on the side of the lake, and the defensive – on the side of the road. In total, the castle complex includes 25 buildings of different construction times.

As an exceptional heritage monument, the Chillon Castle has about 300 exhibits. With the exception of furniture, weapons and armor, all the items presented here were found during archaeological excavations carried out in the castle from 1896 to 1903. The collections belong to the Cantonal Museum of Archaeology and History of Lausanne under the name "fonds Chillon" (Chillon Collection).
