Qualifications and skills:
• Looking for an Indian Patent Agent/Patent Attorney with an experience of 6-10 years
• Ability to work under strict deadlines with minimum supervision
• BE/Btech/Mtech in Computer science/ Electronics / Telecom
• Bachelor of Laws
Responsibilities:
• Experience in licensing and patent monetization is a good to have. Candidate should have worked in licensing deals and should be aware of contract negotiations with the buying party, brokers etc.
• Patent valuation skills will be much appreciated
• Review of contracts, NDA’s and other legal documents
• Experience in drafting of US, IN, and EP patent applications. Should have drafted more than 100 patent applications. Candidate should have worked on IP matters across all aspects of technology including software, hardware, cloud computing, autonomous vehicles, telecom, network security, blockchain, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, machine learning, and other cutting edge technologies.
• Experience in IN prosecution is a must. Candidate should have drafted responses to more than 250 FER’s and should have handled hearings. Candidate should have very good knowledge of the Indian patent act and patent procedure.
• Experience in US prosecution is a must. Candidate should have drafted responses to at least 250+ US Office actions. Candidate should be well aware of handling 35 USC 101 objections.
• In some cases, working with external counsel to have patent applications drafted and prosecuted for US, India, and EP jurisdictions
• Candidate should have experience in patent analytics: patentability searches, invalidity searches, landscapes studies, EoU chart preparation etc.
• Working with inventors from businesses for various inventions to understand underlying technology of invention and providing technical consultation.
• Interact with business heads for various patent monetization related activities
• Expertise in Excel for managing data using pivot tables, macros, charts and the like.
