Vacancy:
Patent Analyst at Mithra

Qualifications and skills:
• PhD in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical chemistry
• Relevant Experience in an R&D department or scientific environment
• 2-4 years of experience in industrial property management or counsel
• Experience in analysis of complex patent landscapes
• Fluent in English (both written and oral)
• Rigorous
• Critical mindset
• Work well independently
• Team spirit, ability to communicate with a team
• Cooperate and demonstrate flexibility when facing change
• Advanced knowledge in using patent and scientific platforms (e.g. ORBIT, PatSnap, Espacenet, local patent registers, …)
• Have good knowledge of office software tools (Word, Power point, Excel, OneNote)

Responsibilities:
• Conduct patent landscape searches and analysis
• Implement patent monitoring and search tools
• Detect new business opportunities or potential partners through patent searches and competitors analysis
• Perform Freedom-to-operate assessment & competitor IP monitoring
• Advise on the patentability of new projects
• Provide support to IP manager in drafting reply to office actions and in reviewing outside patent counsel correspondence
• Liaise with other members of the R&D department in cooperation with IP manager
• Draft letters, IP reports or IP overview (for meetings or for clients)
