They can’t defeat her on the battlefield - Americans are too good at fighting when they have an external enemy.

So…

The godless commies changed the battlefield.

From the field to the mind.

The enemy is within.

Primarily, it is sin - the separation from God.

And instead of preaching the gospel to bring eternal salvation to the world’s brokenness, the godless commies have built a world where Bible words and Christ’s ideas are pushed to the sideline.

Preaching the gospel is about eternal salvation.

That brings eternity into time.

That eternity makes earthly framings seem small.

The Utopia the godless commies promise - and try to achieve by removing God from our thinking - is their battlefield.

So…

Change the battlefield.

The enemy wanted to destroy freedom through physical conflict and so changed the battlefield to the mind.

That battlefield is impervious to our tanks and planes.

But the gospel cuts to the heart - which is where the mind’s wars are powerless.

Bible words cut to the heart.

And, in this case, we should aim true.
