2) Big Tech that doesnt allow free speech is dead. The lumbering giants still move, but the brain is dead & only trudges on bc users are too stubborn to change.

3) Government/corporate corruption is now folk story in America; meaning, it’s so ingrained in culture that it wont ever take completely over; too many younger folks marinating in a world of distrust & dissidence against tyrants. Some say “fourth turning.” Others “black swan.” Me, “God’s gift of repentance.”

4) It doesnt feel like it or look like it, but the next bit will be generationally beneficial bc it requires fundamental rejection, and reform, of the current obvious failures. Open / Comment

2023-05-09 16:59:28 My dream (among others) is to start a seminary-like discipling program that ties learning a trade with the Scriptures.

Thinking big picture, Christ & (some of) His disciples had trades BEFORE they taught the Scriptures.

I believe a key ingredient to Christendom is the productivity of the preacher, in that, they are self-supporting.

This is not an excuse not to pay your ministers - dont muzzle the ox - but I see it more about equipping men with talent to support large families where mothers can stay home & Bible teaching is ALWAYS tied to real-world application & not overly intelligentsia’d dissertations about God.

And then, as the preacher works his trade, he can evangelize his customers & disciple the flock.

But, and I mean this for the benefit of the preachers in the chat, ministering people to people (as an evangelist or a minister or a local church elder) is not easy and does merit financial support.

Many people fleece the flock (prosperity gospel) but many flocks starve their ministers.

When they tell you they intend to do your harm, take that very seriously.

There are people calling to “end whiteness.”

For generations, progressives have been ridiculed & insulted. I have laughed. I have made jokes. And yes, it’s still funny & yes I will still laugh.

But never lose sight of the type of evil that believes in racism as an explanation for evil instead of sin, and that will viciously snuff the life out of you if it has a chance.

We may be entertained with the podcasts & movies & headlines & showy media (and, by entertained, I just mean distracted), but behind the big shows & distractions are faces that arent smiling while we stay distracted.

Evil is on the move.
