Looking for opinions on what OS to load onto a Pixel. I know there is CalyxOS, GraphineOS and LinageOS. Suggestions? I’m currently living in the Apple infrastructure and have been for many years. Want to break fee.

I want to buy a Pixel 3xl phone on ebay but I'm not sure if it has bootloader unlocked. How can I be sure? Ebay uses terms like "network unlocked" and "Lock Status unlocked". If I purchase a phone with network unlocked and Lock Status unlocked will I be able to put calyxOS on it? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hello friends! I am looking for good alternatives to Microsoft Publisher. Being a visual person I like that I can draw and resize boxes for different page elements. The rest of the office suite is garbage to me. I use it for creating cards, making web pages better for printing without all the crap on the sides, header, and footer, fliers, labels, I even used it recently to design my mom's headstone. It has been my go to program since 1995 and it's past time to say "adios" to the evil MS monolith.

would a laptop still work if i remove the screen from it? Idea is to take off the screen and use the laptop keyboard etc with the external monitor. Would i be messing with any wires etc? only thing i know about laptops is open, turn on and use. First time i did anything out of the normal is install linux, so feeling courageous to think different

I am brand new to Linux and ubuntu was my first pick (2 days ago) I could not figure out how to install anything and didn’t like that. Switched to Mint cinnamon last night and in the first hour had all programs that I wanted installed! Way easier to use imho

Sticking in my 2 cents: I have tried most of the search engines, and have been using swiss cows now for a while, and really like it. Also using on brave. I do recommend it, and think it is not linked to google.
