2021-08-02 10:11:30 As far as the actual data, Louisiana is the first state that I looked at that has no vote reductions at the end. So, I have this working theory (with some good data behind it!) that the machines just work with the percentages during the "count". They take the number of real votes during the interval and pad with phantom votes to the R & D sides, as needed to make the target percentage. At the end, they assign the ballots where they padded the numbers, But - if they have phantom voters that are both R&D, they will take the even numbers of each to reduce the totals. That keeps the percentage the same for the win, but removes the extra phantom voters so they have as few as possible to have to fill in and possibly get caught with. There were no R phantoms ever required - plenty of R ballots from real people! So, no reductions made here at the end. Open / Comment

Several large adjustments are seen pushing the ratio back down, lest it exceed 200% votes Trump to Biden. I suspect the gain change during the Edison zero drove the curve down into its setpoint. There was a bit of voodoo involved in getting to the final numbers that don't show an absolute landslide there. Looking at the total votes here, LA looks like no other state, as far as trends. 2021-08-01 07:00:56 So, as for my poll, it was either that Texas was given a Biden setpoint and broke it like Florida - or - the KnowInk Poll Pad issues resulted in the control to be incompletely applied. I don't see the same impact on the timing of the other states. I believe they were already stopping to recalculate new setpoints when this happened. I do think that the controlled attempt to make Texas more of a "nail-biter" of a race was a show, and not the will of the people. So, if any of you have been wondering which one of your neighbors is responsible for your gas prices being so high now, the answer is probably...none of them. Open / Comment
