Félicette is the only cat so far to have survived a space flight. On October 18, 1963, Félicette, a stray cat found on the streets of Paris, was sent into space on the Véronique AGI 47 rocket. The flight lasted 15 minutes, after which the capsule with the animal successfully returned to Earth.
