It depicts the commissar of the 148th Division, Colonel Mirian Levanovich Odisharia, 39 years old. When the crew of the machine gun was killed, the commissar Odisharia continued to lead the fire. After the battle he was taken prisoner, shell-shocked. The photo was taken on 02.08.1941 in Mogilev region, in the village Zvenchatka.
In ten minutes he would be shot.
