During our recent enforcement operation, four drivers were caught providing illegal cross-border chauffeured services between Singapore and Malaysia.

#PSA We take these offences very seriously. For your own safety, do refrain from using such services. Besides being illegal, the vehicles used may not be sufficiently insured against third party liabilities which could pose a serious problem for passengers should an accident occur.

#Reminder Drivers who are caught providing illegal hire-and-reward services, including cross-border services without a valid Public Service Vehicle License (#PSVL), can be fined up to $3,000, imprisoned for up to six months, or both. The vehicle used may also be forfeited.

#PSA To facilitate construction works for the Jurong Region Line (#JRL), there will be temporary road closures at the following locations & time periods:

Jurong West Street 75
16 Feb 2024 to end-2024, on selected nights*
11pm to 5.30am

Jurong East Central
2 Mar 2024 to end-2024, on selected nights*
12.30am to 5.30am

Some bus services will need to be diverted because of the work schedules. However, existing accesses to carparks and developments will not be affected.

Do look out for road signs in the vicinity regarding these closures and the alternative routes you can take. Remember to plan your journeys in advance too.

(*These road closures are scheduled on selected nights with low traffic volume to minimise inconveniences to the public, while balancing the need to provide working space and time to conduct critical works safely.)

#GoodNews When Cross Island Line Phase 2 (#CRL2) is operational in 2032, you can look forward to a time saving of up to 30 minutes in of your travel time from Maju to areas like Hougang and Jurong Lake District!

We’ve awarded the contract for the design and construction of CRL2 Maju station and tunnels to KTC Civil Engineering & Construction Pte Ltd. Construction works are expected to start in Q2 2024.
