#DidYouKnow #ElectricVehicles (EVs) have 100 times fewer moving parts than petrol cars. This means lesser wear and tear, and easier maintenance!

Spot anything new around Raffles Place MRT?

Donated by City Developments Limited (CDL), the 'Symphony' sculpture created by renown Spanish artist Rosa Serra is a visual scoring of our city's transformation. It is also the latest donation to our #GiftOfArt programme to create a more vibrant and pleasant commuting experience along our rail network.

Check out the photo above or visit the sculpture in-person at Raffles Place MRT Entrance E!

During our recent enforcement operation, four drivers were caught providing illegal cross-border chauffeured services between Singapore and Malaysia.

#PSA We take these offences very seriously. For your own safety, do refrain from using such services. Besides being illegal, the vehicles used may not be sufficiently insured against third party liabilities which could pose a serious problem for passengers should an accident occur.

#Reminder Drivers who are caught providing illegal hire-and-reward services, including cross-border services without a valid Public Service Vehicle License (#PSVL), can be fined up to $3,000, imprisoned for up to six months, or both. The vehicle used may also be forfeited.

#PSA To facilitate construction works for the Jurong Region Line (#JRL), there will be temporary road closures at the following locations & time periods:

Jurong West Street 75
16 Feb 2024 to end-2024, on selected nights*
11pm to 5.30am

Jurong East Central
2 Mar 2024 to end-2024, on selected nights*
12.30am to 5.30am

Some bus services will need to be diverted because of the work schedules. However, existing accesses to carparks and developments will not be affected.

More details about the road closures and affected bus services can be found in our visuals above.

Do look out for road signs in the vicinity regarding these closures and the alternative routes you can take. Remember to plan your journeys in advance too.

(*These road closures are scheduled on selected nights with low traffic volume to minimise inconveniences to the public, while balancing the need to provide working space and time to conduct critical works safely.)

#GoodNews When Cross Island Line Phase 2 (#CRL2) is operational in 2032, you can look forward to a time saving of up to 30 minutes in of your travel time from Maju to areas like Hougang and Jurong Lake District!

We’ve awarded the contract for the design and construction of CRL2 Maju station and tunnels to KTC Civil Engineering & Construction Pte Ltd. Construction works are expected to start in Q2 2024.

#DoYouKnow We’ve put in place a comprehensive Environmental Monitoring and Management Plan to mitigate the impact of our works near the Clementi Forest? We’ll work closely with the contractor to implement the necessary measures laid out in the plan.

With almost half of its stations as interchanges with other rail lines, CRL will connect those living in western Singapore to major hubs such as #JurongLakeDistrict, #PunggolDigitalDistrict, and the #Changi region!

We will be extending the existing adult card-based ticketing (CBT) system to run it in parallel with the #SimplyGo system.

This extension will continue to give adult commuters the option of using their EZ-Link and NETS FlashPay cards or their SimplyGo-compatible cards on public transport.

Adult EZ-Link cardholders who have converted to SimplyGo between 9 and 22 Jan 2024 and Concession cardholders who have converted to SimplyGo on or before 22 Jan 2024 will have the option to exchange their card to a CBT EZ-Link or Concession card for free, if they wish to do so.

More details about the card exchange will be shared by end-Feb 2024.
