SCAM ALERT

#PSA We are aware that an email asking recipients to settle their unpaid tolls has been circulating. This email message is not from LTA and OneMotoring and appears to be a phishing scam.

LTA does not send any messages, calls and emails with links for members of the public to make payment.

Do be cautious of such requests and not click on such links. You should also not divulge any personal information and bank details to anyone. If you have made any such transactions, please report it to your bank and/or the police.

#PSA Since the opening of the Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 3 (#TEL3) last year, the average weekday ridership on TEL has almost tripled from 60,000 in Oct 2022 to 177,000 in Oct 2023!

With more commuters using TEL3 (hello shorter travelling time! ), the overall ridership for some bus services plying along TEL segments has by ~30-40%. #ChangingTravelPatterns

To reduce duplication of bus services with TEL and to reallocate finite resources to better serve residents from new estates , some bus services will be adjusted from 10 Dec 2023.

Check out our visuals for more details.

Check out how our first ever, large diameter tunnel boring machine (#TBM) is assembled!

This TBM will be used in the construction of a two-track tunnel between the Cross Island Line (#CRL) Aviation Park and Loyang stations.

#FunFact With this TBM, our tunnelling works will be a lot more efficient – we can now construct a tunnel large enough to accommodate two rail tracks instead to having tunnel twice like we usually do!

#PSA The 21.5km North-South Corridor (#NSC) will support new developments in the North and alleviate congestion along major roads such as the #CTE. It will also allow for surface streets in the region to be repurposed to provide more space for bus commuters, pedestrians and cyclists.

As the NSC passes underneath existing roads such as Thomson Road, there will be some road changes to ensure that the construction works proceed safely.

From 23 July , the existing PIE exit 17D (towards Thomson Road) will be rerouted via Mount Pleasant Road instead. Motorists and bus commuters are advised to:

Plan ahead for your journeys and cater additional travel time, especially during peak hours.

Look out for directional signs to navigate through the area.

Take bus services 132 & 156 at the new temporary bus stop after Mount Pleasant Road (instead of near the Old Police Academy).
