Active Mobility Device Fires
There have been a few cases of active mobility device fires recently.
One of them was of a PAB fire that occurred at Punggol Way and the other, a PMD fire that occurred in a flat at Bukit Batok West. Both involved the batteries of the devices.
#Reminder Motorised devices that do not comply with safety standards, are modified or are not properly maintained are a fire risk.
To prevent such fires, use only UL2272-certified PMDs and PABs that comply with the EN15194 standard. 𝘿𝙤 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙢𝙤𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙮 your devices as this will compromise the safety certification.

Details of Mandatory Theory Test
The mandatory online theory tests for PAB and e-scooter riders will be available online from 30 Jun 2021. Each test costs $10 and those who register by 30 Sep 2021 will only need to pay $5 (with one free re-attempt).
To make the tests more accessible to everyone, it will be offered in all four of our languages (English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil).
