Gingee fort Pattabiramar temple located in Senji, Villupuram district, Tamil Nadu. This temple was constructed in 𝟏𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐲 by

2021-07-12 03:30:02 The Palitana temples of Jainism are located on Shatrunjaya hill by the city of Palitana in Bhavnagar district, Gujarat, India. The city of the same name, known previously as Padliptapur, has been dubbed “City of Temples”. Along with Shikharji in the state of Jnarkhand, the two sites are considered the holiest of all pilgrimage places by the Jain community. As the temple-city was built to be an abode for the divine, no one is allowed to stay overnight, including the priests. Jains believe that a visit to this group of temples is essential as a once in a life time chance to achieve nirvana or salvation.

This site on Shatrunjaya hill is considered sacred by Jains and have hundreds of temples. There are approximately 863 marble-carved temples on the hills. The main temple is reached by stepping up 3500 steps.

2021-07-11 13:30:04 Gandikota is a village and historical fort on the right bank of the Penna river, 15 km from Jammalamadugu in Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh, India. The fort was the center of power for various dynasties, such as the Kalyani Chalukyas, Pemmasani Nayakas, and the Golconda Sultanate.

In the fort are two ancient temples, dedicated to Madhava and Ranganatha. They are in ruins and the fort area is full of the debris of ages and many ancient structures in varying stages of decay.

2021-07-11 09:30:02 Chaturmukha Basadi is a symmetrical Jain temple situated in Karkala, Karnataka, India. It is one of the most famous monuments in Karkala.

The Chaturmukha Basadi, was built in the late 16th century by Immadi Bhairarasa Vodeya of the Santara dynasty in 1586.

It has four symmetrical faces and is thus called chaturmukha (four faces) basadi. The temple has images of Tirthankara Aranath, Mallinath and Munisuvratnath. This basadi, completely made of carved granite rocks, is known as Tribhuvana Tilaka Jina Chaityalaya or Ratnatraya dhama from inscriptions.

2021-07-11 05:30:08 Preah Ko was the first temple to be built in the ancient and now defunct city of Hariharalaya (in the area that today is called Roluos), some 15 kilometers south-east of the main group of temples at Angkor, Cambodia.

The temple was built under the Khmer King Indravarman I in 879 to honor members of the king's family, whom it places in relation with the Hindu deity Shiva.

Preah Ko (Sacred Bull) derives its name from the three statues of sandstone located in the front of and facing the temple's central towers. These statues represent Nandi, the white bull who serves as the mount of Shiva.
