AnĀ ovarian cystĀ is a fluid-filled sac within theĀ ovary. Often they cause no symptoms.Ā Occasionally they may produce bloating, lower abdominal pain, or lower back pain. The majority of cysts are harmless.Ā If the cyst eitherĀ breaks openĀ or causesĀ twisting of the ovary, it may cause severe pain. This may result in vomiting orĀ feeling faint.
Most ovarian cysts are related toĀ ovulation, being eitherĀ follicular cystsĀ orĀ corpus luteum cysts. Other types includeĀ cysts due to endometriosis,Ā dermoid cysts, andĀ cystadenomas.Ā Many small cysts occur in both ovaries inĀ polycystic ovary syndrome. Pelvic inflammatory diseaseĀ may also result in cysts. Rarely, cysts may be a form ofĀ ovarian cancer. Diagnosis is undertaken byĀ pelvic examinationĀ with anĀ ultrasoundĀ or other testing used to gather further details.

Nervous systemĀ consists of two main parts, theĀ central nervous systemĀ (CNS) and theĀ peripheral nervous systemĀ (PNS). The CNS consists of theĀ brainĀ andĀ spinal cord. The PNS consists mainly ofĀ nerves, which are enclosed bundles of the long fibers orĀ axons, that connect the CNS to every other part of the body. Nerves that transmit signals from the brain are calledĀ motor nervesĀ orĀ efferentĀ nerves, while those nerves that transmit information from the body to the CNS are calledĀ sensory nervesĀ orĀ afferent.Ā Spinal nervesĀ areĀ mixed nervesĀ that serve both functions. The PNS is divided into three separate subsystems, theĀ somatic,Ā autonomic, andĀ entericĀ nervous systems. Somatic nerves mediate voluntary movement. The autonomic nervous system is further subdivided into theĀ sympatheticĀ and theĀ parasympatheticĀ nervous systems. The enteric nervous system functions to control theĀ gastrointestinalĀ system. Both autonomic and enteric nervous systems function involuntarily.

Cancellous bone, also called spongy bone, is the internal tissue of the skeletal bone. Cancellous bone has a higherĀ surface-area-to-volume ratioĀ than cortical bone and it is lessĀ dense. This makes it weaker and more flexible. The greater surface area also makes it suitable for metabolic activities such as the exchange of calcium ions. Cancellous bone is typically found at the ends of long bones, near joints and in the interior of vertebrae. Cancellous bone is highlyĀ vascularĀ and often contains redĀ bone marrowĀ whereĀ hematopoiesis, the production of blood cells, occurs.

Blood supply to the brain is normally divided into anterior and posterior segments, relating to the different arteries that supply the brain. The two main pairs of arteries are theĀ Internal carotid arteriesĀ (supply the anterior brain) andĀ vertebral arteriesĀ (supplying theĀ brainstemĀ and posterior brain). TheĀ circle of WillisĀ is aĀ circulatory anastomosisĀ that suppliesĀ bloodĀ to theĀ brainĀ and surrounding structures.
The circle of Willis is a part of theĀ cerebral circulationĀ and is composed of these arteries:
ā— Anterior cerebral arteryĀ (left and right)
ā— Anterior communicating artery
ā— Internal carotid arteryĀ (left and right)
ā— Posterior cerebral arteryĀ (left and right)
ā— Posterior communicating arteryĀ (left and right)

Cardiac angiosarcoma the right atrium. The tumor was approximately 4 cm in diameter and attached just above the tricuspid valve annulus, extending anteriorly and laterally. The tumor extended into the right atrioventricular sulcus and was present throughout the atrioventricular sulcus shortly after the origin of the right coronary artery and extending posteriorly.

Podocyte cells in the Bowman's capsule - Ā Scanning electron microscope (SEM)

PodocytesĀ areĀ cellsĀ in theĀ Bowman's capsuleĀ in theĀ kidneysĀ that wrap aroundĀ capillariesĀ of theĀ glomerulus. Podocytes make up the epithelial lining of Bowman's capsule, the third layer through whichĀ filtrationĀ of blood takes place.Ā The Bowman's capsule filters theĀ blood, retaining largeĀ moleculesĀ such asĀ proteinsĀ while smaller molecules such asĀ water,Ā salts, andĀ sugarsĀ are filtered as the first step in the formation ofĀ urine. Although variousĀ visceraĀ haveĀ epithelialĀ layers, the nameĀ visceral epithelial cellsĀ usually refers specifically to podocytes, which are specialized epithelial cells that reside in the visceral layer of the capsule.
