NBA superstar Kyrie Irving is among several basketball players to have called for the release of Brittney Griner from a Russian prison on her 100th day of detention after she was arrested for possession of drugs at an airport close to Moscow.

Kiev has received $6.5 billion in aid from Western countries since the start of Russia’s military operation in late February, Kateryna Rozhkova, the first deputy head of the National Bank of Ukraine said.

“Since the beginning of the war, Ukraine has received almost $6.5 billion from partner countries to support the economy,” Rozhkova stated on Sunday, adding that all funds have been directed to the country’s budget.

The total includes both grants and loans, she explained, but did not specify how much Kiev would have to pay back. The official added that the interest rate on loans to Ukraine is “low,” without providing further details.
