Rescue of French traveller Luсas
Monteuox by Russian sailors in Atlantic Ocean The Northern Fleet's medium-sized sea tanker Kama has arrived with a business call at the port of Cape Town in the Republic of South Africa. French citizen Lucas Monteuox, who was rescued by Russian sailors from a yacht, crashed in the Atlantic Ocean a few weeks ago, was taken to South Africa aboard the tanker.
The crew pulled the man on the Russian tanker board.
’I hadn’t seen a signal for days. But when I looked at it just before sleep in the middle of no man’s land I saw the Kama. I called them on the emergency radio channel. I launched a safety rocket–a parachute rocket–and two minutes later I saw the tanker ‘Kama’, changing its course to rescue me,’ Lucas Monteuox said.
On Kama tanker board, the rescued traveller was given first aid and provided with everything he needed.
‘Every single member of the crew has been more than friendly with me. I would like not to land,’ the traveller said.
