DPM Heng Swee Keat delivered the 2021 Budget Statement in Parliament today, where he outlined plans to continue to tackle our immediate challenges, and to emerge stronger in the new normal.

These plans include:
- Introducing the COVID-19 Resilience Package to re-open safely and sustain the momentum of our recovery;
- Rolling out the Household Support Package to provide support for our families, with greater support for families who need more help;
- Outlining how we can emerge stronger through investing in economic and workforce transformation; and
- Laying out our commitment to environmental sustainability and resolve to fight climate change through the Singapore Green Plan 2030.

2021-02-16 11:27:58 [Budget 2021: Household Support Package]

About $900 million has been allocated to the Household Support Package, introduced to provide some support to all families, with lower- to middle-income families receiving more.

Eligible Singaporeans will receive a one-off GST Voucher – Cash Special Payment of $200, on top of the regular GSTV – Cash payment.

GST Voucher – U-Save Special Payment will be provided to eligible HDB households, amounting to an additional 50% U-Save rebate over one year. Each household will receive additional utilities rebates of between $120 and $200 this year.

The Service and Conservancy Charge Rebate will be extended for all eligible households for another year.

A top-up of $200 per child will be given to households with Singaporean children below the age of 21, through the Child Development Account, Edusave Account, or Post-Secondary Education Account, to further support parents as they invest in their children’s future.

All Singaporean households will also receive $100 worth of CDC vouchers which can be used at participating heartland shops and hawker centres. Open / Comment
