Headless Valley, CanadaThis place got its eerie name because of a series of tragic accidents. At the end of XIX century gold was discovered here, and hunters longed for fortune in the valley. In 1898 a group of six gold prospectors disappeared without a trace. Seven years later, two of the McLeod brothers and their buddy Robert Weare disappeared in the same valley. Three years later, 9 decapitated corpses were accidentally discovered.
Mysterious disappearances continue in the valley to this day.
The locals themselves are convinced that all the deaths are the work of the Sosquatch. Creatures resembling hairy giants were often seen here, and even more often their footprints were found.
In fact, it was probably the work of a gang of thugs who were out in the valley hunting for gold miners and their prey. But the police don't seem to confirm their suspicions.
