I've spoken to other industries that have fought back against the mandates and they all tell me the same thing - they had a strong union that went into battle for them and won.

I know we haven't had the wins you were expecting but eventually we will and I believe Red Union can become a powerful force in this country standing up for workers rights and freedom of choice.

Even though some of us are without a job and it may seem pointless being in Red Union we can still be subscribers and make their position stronger to keep fighting for us.

Keep following their processes even if you think it's not worth it. We need to keep making noise.

2021-12-01 07:33:38 NSW is striking on Tuesday 7th December. This is NOT in support of the Teachers Federation demand for more pay. This is against all mandates, passports, and lockdowns.

Everyone from every industry is asked to attend. If you can't get to State Parliament House then organise a group to strike outside your state MPs electorate office.

If you are being terminated from your job because of unlawful work conditions being imposed on you then you have every right to strike!

Share this with everyone you know and lets show the government it's us they serve not the other way around.

2021-12-01 02:32:23 ALL STATES TASK A.S.A.P! Thanks to Rod Culleton we now have a notice for each State. Every single person that has received an email to get vaccinated from their employers should send this letter back.

It does not matter if you are on leave or if any other action is taking place. We can no longer hide and be fearful of upsetting our bosses.

They are coming for you and we need to let them know we won't go quietly. We need to keep putting them on notice and making them think about their actions.

If you are being harrassed for your vax status then you need to send your employer this letter which applies to your state.

2021-11-30 23:38:10 NSW TEACHER TASK: Teacher Accreditation Bill Amendment 2021

Following on from our Zoom last night in regards to the Teacher Accreditation Bill Amendment 2021; the bill that Education Minister Sarah Mitchell is trying to pass through – we need everyone to write to their local state MP and their schools suburb local state MP! Yes again!

This advice came to us direct from the NSW Governors office!

CC in the email; Mark Latham and Sarah Mitchell so they receive the noise as well. Call all the offices of where you send your letters to make sure they received it.

There is no template this week. You need to write from the heart. Only a few paragraphs and address the following points:

- The impact that the bill may have on your future status as an educator.

- The impact the bill may have on our students? You could address this from a concerned parent point of view.

- The impact the bill will have on the education system if they have the power to accredit anyone.

At the end of the letter, you need to ask that this is re-addressed in Parliament and vague terminology is defined and clarified.

ALSO as explained in last night's NSW zoom if you're on approved leave (annual, sick, lwop, etc) you should NOT be contacted at all.

If you are receiving any correspondence you must push back and ask them to stop harassing you while you're on approved leave. It's time we start standing up for ourselves!
